ANTI RAGGING RULES & UNDERTAKINGS

Ban On Ragging:-

This College is reputed for excellent teaching and strict discipline. It has formed a Proctorial Board that looks after proper maintenance of discipline and leaves no scope for ragging.

Anybody found involved in any type of humiliating behavior leading to ragging will be expelled from the college after the decision of the Proctorial Board. Besides, FIR will be lodged against those students who will be found exercising ragging and bullying on the campus or around the campus

What is Ragging :

Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or harm or to raise fear or apprehension there of in a fresher or a junior student or asking the student to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment that adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Proctorial Board of the college, the possible punishment for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be any one or any combination of the following :

Punishment at the Institution level for Ragging :

  • Cancellation of admission
  • Suspension from attending classes
  • With holding/Withdrawing scholarship/fellowship & other
  • Debarring from appearing  in any test examination or other evaluation process
  • With holding
  • Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival
  • Rustication from the institution for period ranging 6
  • Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from the admission to any other
  • Collective punishment : When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrant to ensure community pressure on the potential

 Rules and Regulations :-

  1. A student admitted to B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. Course in colleges must maintain an ethos

of commitment to a professional programme. He/She is expected to behave in dignified manner in the college campus.

  1. (a) According to University and NCTE norms a trainee must attend minimum 75% of all theory classes

(b) The trainees must attend all demonstration classes during the course as well as his/her scheduled practice teaching classes. He/ She is expected to teach in any school assigned to him/ her by the college.

  1. Prior permission is required from the Principal/Prof, in-charge for any absence either from theory or practical classes and community life Application for leave should be in writing.
  2. No other commitments, such as competitive examination, computer course, private tuition, university examination should be undertaken during the regular college timings of classes and
  3. Every student is expected to make the best use of library

 

The trainees are expected to take proper care of the college property.
